Karen graduated from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage (OSTM) as
salutatorian of the part-time day program in December 2005. While at
Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage, she completed 1000 hours of
academic and hands on training. Soon after graduation, she passed her
New York State board examination. Licensed and registered with the State
of New York, Karen is also a professional member of the American Massage
Therapy Association (AMTA).
Karen joined the
Angels At Work group of natural health professionals in winter/spring
2006. She uses Swedish massage infused with deep connective tissue work
including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and some
reflexology. She is certified by The Center Of Being, Inc. to use an
energy technique called Integrated Energy Therapyฎ (IET). It is similar
to Reiki but at a higher vibration. Her clients enjoy the safe,
comfortable, relaxing environment she creates for them. Karen also
assists her clients on their healing journey towards wellness by helping
them release the chronic patterns of misuse and / or abuse which are
stuck in their tissues.
Karen also
volunteers time to share the gift of massage with the seniors at Ogden
Senior Center
in Spencerport, NY and participates in various chair events around the
Greater Rochester area.
